His Worship The Mayor, Lumbye Gerald Nsubuga and Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Ssempala Emmanuel Kigozi officially opened Lubugumu Taxi Park in Ndejje Division.

The socially distanced function was graced by a number of other leaders, from within the municipality, including but not limited to, the Deputy Mayor - Mr. Vicent Kaweere, Mr. Sulaiman Ssejengo - Chairman Ndejje Division, Mr. Wasswa Godfrey - Ndejje Division Town Clerk. Other stake holders such as taxi drivers and conductors, were also well represented by their respective leaders at the function.

Mr. Ssejengo requested the Mayor to exempt the taxi drivers from paying taxes for at least four months, a plea that Mayor granted, just like he had done the day before in Bunamwaya at the official opening of Busingiri-Nyanama Taxi Park on Wednesday 9^th September 2020.

While addressing attendees, the municipal Deputy Town Clerk, Mr. Henry Ssemakula noted; "I would urge you to have a well written constitution that clearly stipulates how leaders of the taxi park are elected and how the park will be governed.

And when it comes to renewing your lease on this land, don't wait for it to expire."
