LCIII Chairman, Mr. Sulaiman Ssejengo presided over the meeting before handing over to the Senior Assistant Town Clerk - Mr. Wasswa Godfery. He (Mr. Wasswa) introduced his staff, emphasized their mandate as a division council, which includes but not limited to; administration of markets, tax collection, issuance of certificates and supervision.

 

He also highlighted some of their challenges as a division council, among which were; a poor road network that affects navigation, pollution of the lake (Lake Victoria), a poor land tenure system, not fully informed decision making and poor profiling of tourism sites in the division.

 

Meanwhile, His Worship The Mayor, Gerald Lumbuye Nsubuga also attended the scientific function and thanked the "division council for the work well done".
