This morning, Wednesday 21/10/2020, Masajja Division, one of the three divisions that makeup Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality held their budget conference at the division headquarters in Masajja. The conference was presided over by the LCIII Chairman - Mr. Kiyaga John Baptist and was attended by a number of local leaders such as LC chairpersons and Councillors. The Senior Assistant Town Clerk, Ms. Sylvia Nalunkuma introduced and also thanked her staff for "the great work done" and reemphasized their mandate as given to them by government—and their priorities as derived from the views and needs of the people they serve through their respective local leaders (the Councillors and LCs). While addressing the conference, Mr. Kiyaga extended his sincere vote of thanks to the central government for the Busabala Road project among other things. "I thank Government for the Busabala Road Project. I know it will go along way in changing the face of Masajja Division and improving the livelihood of our people," Mr. Kiyaga noted. He also cited Land and property compensation as well as absentee Landlords as the major issues of concern that are delaying the commencement of works on the project. Among other disguished invited guests was the DISO - Ms. Namala Edith, who also represented the office of the RDC.
